The first stage of the Pro Padel League 2024 calendar is over. Miami Padel Club beat Las Vegas Smash and lifted the trophy at home in front of their own fans.

Miami Padel Club won 2-0 against Las Vegas Smash
Unlike the semifinals, the final didn’t require a mixed match. The home side would win the women’s match and then the men’s match.
Ari Sánchez and Marta Talaván were in charge of earning the first point for the home side, beating Marta Ortega and Marta Talaván 7-6, 6-3.
A little later, Agustín Tapia and Jon Sanz took to the court to take on Pablo Cardona and Gonza Alfonso. The former, who represented the Miami team, won 6-3 and 6-3, which gave them the victory in this first stage of the Pro Padel League calendar.

New York Atlantics took third place
Just before the final, there was a clash for third and fourth place, pitting the New York Atlantics against the Toronto Polar Bears.
Tamara Icardo and Virginia Riera, former partners last season, gave the first point to the New York team. The Spaniard and the Argentinian beat Victoria Iglesias and Marina Guinart 6-4, 6-4.
The second and decisive point was won by Lucas Campagnolo and Ramiro Moyano, after beating Coki Nieto and Javier Gonzalez Barahona 6-1, 6-2.

We won’t have to wait long to see the Pro Padel League teams in action again. The second stage of the competition will kick off this Tuesday, 9th April, also in Miami.
