The Marbella Master, a tournament where we can see more new couples

There is no tournament without seeing new couples. Injuries or lack of results are bringing many changes to the circuit. The Cervezas Victoria Marbella Master 2023 will be no different, and we will be able to see in action new pairings that have been announced in the last few days. We tell you about them below!

These are the new couples that will make their debut at the Marbella Master!

Men’s category

The big novelty in the tournament is, without a doubt, the pairing of Ale Galán and Jon Sanz. Juan Lebron’s right elbow injury will prevent him from playing in the upcoming tournaments, a situation that has meant that his partner, Ale Galan, has had to look for a partner to compete. The chosen one is none other than Jon Sanz, who has been playing with Javi Garrido in recent events and who played with Coki Nieto in the Vienna tournament, reaching the semi-finals.

Galan and Sanz will start as number 3 seeds and will have a difficult debut against a couple like Juanlu Esbri and Edu Alonso, the reigning champions of the Alicante Open 500.

Another of the new pairings will be Coki Nieto and Pablo Cardona. The player from Madrid, who announced a few days ago his split up with Pablo Lima, saw how his union with Jon Sanz was shorter than expected, due to Galan’s call. The StarVie player will play with Pablo Cardona, one of the irruptions of this season on the World Padel Tour. The new duo are the thirteenth couple and will debut against Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia.

Precisely, Cardona’s former partner, Ivan Ramirez, will now accompany Pablo Lima. The Brazilian, who hasn’t had the continuity he wanted so far this year due to injuries, has opted for another young player from Madrid in what will be his last season as a professional. The new duo will start as the ninth couple of the tournament and will face Victor Ruiz and Lucas Bergamini.

Of course, these won’t be the only new couples in the tournament. There have also been movements in the men’s circuit. Toni Bueno will play with Rafa Méndez and they will make their debut in the last sixteen against Pincho Fernández and José Antonio García Diestro. Jorge Ruiz will be accompanied by Javi Martinez and they will face Javier Garcia Mora and Javier Gonzalez Barahona. Finally, Salva Oria will play with Ignacio Vilariño and they will face Álex Ruiz and Juan Tello.

Women’s category

In the women’s category there have also been some novelties, the main one being the pairing of Victoria Iglesias and Alix Collombon. The player from Seville returns after overcoming her ankle injury and will do so with a new partner, as Patty Llaguno will continue to play with Carolina Orsi, with whom she has shared the court in the last two tournaments. Iglesias and Collombon start as couple 9 and will face Marta Caparros and Carmen Goenaga.

Alix Collombon‘s former partner, Alejandra Alonso, will play with Andrea Ustero, with whom she will start from the qualifiers. Léa Godallier will play with Araceli Martínez, while Noa Conavas and Jimena Velasco will play together again.
