Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez win sixth title in Vienna!

Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez have won the Vienna Padel Open 2023 after beating Bea González and Delfi Brea 6-3, 6-1.

Seventh final of the year for Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez, the players who have dominated the women’s circuit in the last few tournaments. They have only had one setback in recent weeks, coincidentally against today’s opponents a few days ago, in the semifinals of the Danish Open.

The defeat in the previous tournament has served as a wake-up call for them not to relax and to try to extend their good momentum. It was with this in mind that the number ones took to the court.

In the fifth game, a golden point on Delfi’s serve broke the tie in the first set. Paula and Ari not only maintained that advantage, but managed to extend it to close the first set of the final with a 6-3.

The second set didn’t start well for Bea and Delfi, who conceded another break in the second game. That break would serve to finally dynamite the match, as the number 1’s would be the masters and mistresses of the 20×10. The Spaniards advanced firmly towards victory, even more so when they managed to extend their lead, which helped them to close out the match. Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez took the second set 6-1 to win the Vienna Padel Open 2023.

With this victory, Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez win their sixth title of the season on the World Padel Tour and escape from their closest pursuers in the race, Gemma Triay and Ale Salazar.

The difference between the top two couples on tour has gone from 100 to 740 points. However, next week comes the Marbella Master, the second tournament in this category, which will award 2,000 points to the winners.
