They have no limits! Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello win their ninth title of the year in Marbella.

Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello win the Cervezas Victoria Marbella Master 2023 after beating Sanyo Gutierrez and Momo Gonzalez 6-4, 6-2 in the final.

The two best pairings of the Marbella tournament faced each other in the final, Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello, on one side, and Sanyo Gutierrez and Momo Gonzalez, on the other, after beating the Superpibes in the semifinals.

The match started off fairly even between the two pairings, holding their serves steady and hardly giving any options to the rest (only one break point after seven games played). However, in the eighth game, the number 1 pairing broke in the only break of the set and were able to close out the set 6-4 on serve.

In the second, Gustavo Pratto‘s players took another break right from the start. Their sensations increased and in the third game, they widened the gap on the scoreboard with another break. Momo and Sanyo managed to neutralise a break, but it didn’t do them much good, as they would take another, the third, which dynamited the match. Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello closed the match with a 6-2.

After the match, Agustín Tapia spoke about his arm ailments, which he has been suffering from for the last two tournaments: “Now it’s time to rest, I have to pass a medical examination and recover as soon as possible. It’s something that can get worse, so the best thing is to take a break and determine when I can return to 100% without worrying about re-injury“.

This is the couple’s ninth tournament this season, having won every World Padel Tour event they’ve played this year. Also, with this title, they reach 10,000 points in the Race, which brings them very, very close to their goal of finishing as number 1 this year.
