Ale Salazar confirms he will be out for the next few weeks

We’ve been saying it for a few days now. The World Padel Tour’s tight schedule is taking its toll, with many players suffering injuries. In fact, in the last few hours a very important injury has come to light, that of Ale Salazar due to an elbow injury.

The player from Madrid was eliminated along with Gemma Triay in the quarter finals of the Cervezas Victoria Marbella Master at the hands of Virginia Riera and Tamara Icardo. However, this elimination has not been the worst of her problems, as she commented on her social networks, Ale Salazar will be sidelined for a few weeks due to some elbow discomfort that has been accompanying her for some time.

This was communicated Ale Salazar in their social networks

The Bullpadel player said the following in his publication this past Sunday:

They are many weeks playing suffering too much without performing or enjoy as I would like dragging an injury in my elbow that has been worsening this year with the overload and with little rest with this calendar. After giving it a lot of thought, and evaluating it with the whole team, we think it’s time to heal and rest a few weeks to come back stronger and be able to give the team my best version of myself. As you can imagine I’m very upset, you know how competitive I am but I’m sure it will be for the better. Soon I will be able to tell you how long it will take me to recover. It’s time to evaluate, reset and go for it“.

Gemma Triay will play with another partner

The case of Ale Salazar is very similar to that of Juan Lebron, with both players suffering from their right elbow due to the intense stretch of the season they were playing.

Just as it happened with Ale Galan, who looked for a replacement in Jon Sanz while his partner recovered, Gemma Triay is also forced to look for a partner until her partner can compete again.

In fact, the Menorcan sent a lot of encouragement to her partner in her recovery and announced that this Monday she would announce her partner while Ale recovers:

As many of you already know, Ale will be out for a while. It has been a very intense start to the season, with clear objectives that we have fought for until the body said enough is enough. No one doubts what you are capable of Salaceitor; you have stood up time and time again and this will be one more. You and I know how much we have enjoyed it and how much we still have to do. Face this recovery with that smile that characterises you.
All the best to you, always.

P.S. Tomorrow I will announce who I will be playing with“.

The main candidate to take Ale Salazar’s place is none other than Marta Ortega, as in the last few hours it has been announced that she will not continue playing with Sofía Araújo. It is expected to be made official on Monday.
