During August, although the Premier Padel circuit takes a break until September, the world of padel continues, either with tournaments on the FIP circuit or with exciting international events. Among them is a unique exhibition: the South African Invitational Padel, a competition that promised us an unprecedented and exciting match between Arturo Coello and Ale Galán against AgustÃn Tapia and Juan Lebrón.
However, the Lobo has announced in the last few hours that he will not be attending the tournament in order to recover fully from the injury that prevented him from playing in the Málaga P1. The same is true for Jon Sanz, who will also be absent from the tournament as he is still recovering from the injury that prevented him from playing in Tarragona. José Antonio GarcÃa Diestro and Fran Guerrero will replace Lebrón and Sanz.
When is the South African Invitational Padel being held and which players will be competing?
From 15 to 17 August, the DP World Wanderers Stadium (a stadium with a capacity for 34,000 spectators) will host a three-day competition between two teams full of world padel stars.
On one side, the first team will feature AgustÃn Tapia, accompanied by Leo Augsburger, Momo González, Fran Guerrero, José Antonio GarcÃa Diestro and MartÃn Di Nenno. The absence of Lebrón himself will mean that the organisers will have to quickly find a replacement for the event.
On the other side, the second team will feature Alejandro Galán and Arturo Coello, alongside Fernando BelasteguÃn, Mike Yanguas, Franco Stupaczuk and Pablo Cardona.

A tournament that promises thrills
This event will not only pit top-level players against each other, but will also feature reunions of former couples such as Coello/Bela and Stupa/Yanguas, as well as unprecedented combinations such as Galán/Cardona. The presence of BelasteguÃn, a legend who retired last year, adds even more appeal.
The competition format consists of three matches per day, with ascending points: 1 point on Friday, 2 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. The team with the most points at the end will be the winner.
