Some of the most acclaimed rackets in the Wilson range are the Blade series, a line-up that has been supporting players across the globe for several years. A range of high-performance products that is being revamped in 2026 to continue winning over players of all levels with its eagerly awaited V4 collection. Following the hugely successful V2s, they revolutionised the game with the launch of the V3s, and now a long-awaited update has finally arrived for these rackets, which are gaining an ever-growing following.
Unlike the previous version, this new range takes a step forward to perfect its very essence. Whilst the V3 marked a shift towards a more offensive approach, the new Wilson Blade V4 models retain that character whilst striving for a perfect balance between power, control and manoeuvrability. The American brand has redesigned this range with the aim of offering a highly versatile and precise product, capable of delivering reliable performance whether attacking at the net or defending from the back of the court. Without abandoning that attacking ethos, it still performs across the board.
The range comprises three clearly distinct versions to suit the level and physical needs of each player: the Blade V4 as the flagship model, the Blade LS V4 (available in mint and pink) for those seeking a lightweight racket, and the Blade Jr V4, aimed at up-and-coming young players.
The collection’s flagship model carries on the legacy of the versatile advanced performance concept, combining state-of-the-art materials with a design engineered down to the last millimetre. Constructed with a teardrop shape, the Wilson Blade V4 weighs 365 grams and has a mid-balance of 267 millimetres. In terms of its shape, weight and balance, it is classified as a highly versatile racket, with a design that strikes a balance between power and manoeuvrability,a weight that ensures it is neither too heavy nor too light, and a balance that makes no compromises.
The faces incorporate a hybrid composition combining carbon fibre and glass fibre, achieving a perfect balance between the stiffness and durability of carbon and the comfort and ball launch provided by glass fibre. Ideal for a good feel, without being too stiff, yet with plenty of power to drive the ball. Inside, the Firm EVA Foam rubber offers a high density that provides a dry, direct and highly responsive feel on every hit.
In terms of innovations, the racket features the C2 Tubular Construction to reinforce frame stability and the Anti-Fragile Edge protector against friction against the net or glass. When it comes to spin, the Spin Effect Texture technology (rough finish) combines with Sharp Hole Technology (sharp-edged perforations) to exponentially increase ball grip. Furthermore, the Duo Grid Pattern system arranges the holes asymmetrically, concentrating greater power in the upper zone and maximising control at the central sweet spot.
All these qualities translate on the carpet to a significantly improved feel at impact compared to its predecessors. The Blade V4 is a very predictable racket that responds smoothly on the defensive end, where its wide sweet spot and good ball speed allow you to get out of tricky situations from the back of the court without having to over-exert your technique. It moves quite easily, has a fairly intuitive sweet spot and, ultimately, feels very comfortable in this area of the court where control is paramount.
On the other hand, when we move into attack near the net, the firmness of the Firm EVA rubber and the extra stiffness of its hybrid face allow you to accelerate volleys with real power and generate great speed on drop shots and smashes. It isn’t the most powerful – in which case, within the Wilson range, that would be the Defy – but it more than delivers when it comes to adding depth to drop shots or ensuring smashes land well. A very high mark in this regard for a racket that offers excellent ball rebound when you strike the ball correctly.
Thanks to its perfectly balanced characteristics, this racket is aimed at intermediate-advanced or advanced players with an all-round playing style, although it adapts to virtually any style and level. It is the ideal choice for players who do not want to be pigeonholed into using a racket designed purely for extreme power or pure control, but are instead looking for a versatile, agile and precise racket capable of performing at the highest level at any stage of the match.
For those looking to adapt the Blade range’s philosophy to different physical requirements or age groups, Wilson offers the Blade LS V4 (available in mint and pink finishes). This is the lightweight version of the collection, designed to prioritise manoeuvrability, comfort and the prevention of joint strain. It weighs just 355 grams and has a balance point of 260 millimetres. Its faces are made of fibreglass fabric and its core incorporates Soft EVA Eco rubber, a combination that offers a much softer feel, excellent vibration absorption and a smooth, effortless ball release for intermediate players seeking maximum agility.
Finally, the Wilson Blade Jr V4 is specifically designed for young, up-and-coming players who are just starting out in the sport and need equipment adapted to their physique. It retains the teardrop shape and key spin-enhancing technologies such as Spin Effect Texture, the Duo Grid Pattern and Sharp Hole Technology, but scales down the dimensions to a junior size, weighing just 300 grams with a balance point of 245 millimetres. By combining fibreglass layers with Soft EVA Eco rubber, it ensures a smooth, comfortable and completely safe learning experience for young players’ joints.
The prices of the three rackets in the Wilson BLADE series are as follows:

| Wilson Blade V4 LS | 160 € |
