August is a month for resting or continuing to compete. Some professional players take a few days off to rest, while others remain active, playing tournaments on the FIP circuit or in exhibitions. In India, some will be competing in the World Padel League 2025.

Which players will participate in the World Padel League 2025?

The third edition of this team competition returns on Tuesday 12 August in Mumbai (India), and it does so without skimping on stars. In the middle of the Premier Padel break, the team competition will bring together 36 of the best rackets on the international scene, guaranteeing a spectacular show on the 20×10 court.

Among the stars are figures such as Alejandra Salazar, Sanyo Gutiérrez, Marta Ortega, Tamara Icardo, Coki Nieto, Claudia Fernández, Maxi Sánchez, Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal.

Competition format

This tournament, which will take place at the NESCO Centre, features six mixed teams that will compete in an initial round-robin format, with all teams playing each other. Each match will consist of four games: two men’s, one women’s and one mixed. Each win will earn points towards the overall classification and, once the regular season is complete, the top two teams will compete for the title in the grand final. Third and fourth place will be decided in a consolation match.

On Saturday, the semi-finals will take place in the morning and the final at 4:45 p.m. (11:45 a.m. in Argentina).
