Flowrida GOATS signed a day for history at the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastian by winning both titles of the Pro Padel League. On Saturday 12 July 2025, the team from Florida confirmed their status as favourites by winning both the men’s and women’s doubles. With this double, the team clearly strengthens its leadership in the general classification and is emerging as the rival to beat in the rest of the season.
Absolute dominance in the women’s final
The women’s final pitted Gemma Triay and Aranza Osoro – top seeds – against Bea Caldera and Patty Llaguno, representatives of Arkansas Matrix. Triay and Osoro gave their opponents no chance: they played an aggressive and solid game on serve and dominated the exchanges with pinpoint shots. The 6-3 and 6-4 scoreline reflects the authority with which the Flowrida GOATS duo played the match, breaking their opponents’ serve in the decisive moments of each set.

Triay, two-time PPL champion, said after the match: “We knew we were in rhythm and confident. Aranza and I have been training very hard to control our tactics and be aggressive on court. Today it went perfectly“. Osoro, for his part, highlighted the atmosphere in Donostia: “The crowd has pushed us on every point. Winning here, in a true temple of sport, has a very special flavour“.
Firmness in the men’s final
With the stands packed to the rafters and the sun shining on the court, Pablo Cardona and Leo Augsburger put the finishing touch to the Floridian double. After a high voltage semi-final, the couple met Lucas Bergamini and Maxi Sanchez from San Diego Stingrays. The script was repeated: the Argentine displayed his power from the baseline while the Spaniard dominated at the net, sealing the win 6-4, 6-4.

Cardona highlighted the chemistry acquired with Augsburger since the start of the season: “We’ve been working on coordination for months and today it showed. Every shot has been a piece of the puzzle that has led us to the title“. Augsburger added: “San Sebastian is always good for us. Nobody wanted to take a step back on the court, and that gave us an advantage“.
Consolation podiums in Donostia
Out of the spotlight of the final, the battles for third place were contested. In the men’s category, New York Atlantics rounded off a great performance by beating Miami Padel Club. Juan Tello and Jon Sanz beat Agustin Tapia and Federico Chingotto 6-4, 6-2. The Spanish-Argentine duo showed an aggressive and precise padel, capitalizing on Tapia’s lack of rhythm in the longest exchanges.
In the women’s category, Houston Volts took the bronze after an intense duel against Las Vegas Smash. Marta Caparros and Marta Barrera responded to losing the second set to Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo to win 6-4, 2-6, 10-4. Their grit in the super tie-break sparked euphoria from the Volts’ bench on centre court.
Impact on the rankings and looking to the future
With the two new titles in San Sebastian, Flowrida GOATS extend their lead at the top of the Pro Padel League to six points, holding off Houston Volts and San Diego Stingrays. The Florida team’s consistency – three finals in four stops – confirms that their squad has the perfect balance of experience, young talent and mental toughness.
