Ninety years after René Lacoste revolutionised tennis with a polo shirt and a certain attitude, the crocodile is taking its next step in the world of sport. Lacoste presents its first collection specifically designed for padel: two rackets, technical trainers, clothing and a padel bag, all designed as a complete ensemble to support the player before, during and after the match. This is not merely a fashion foray into sport. Rather, it is a comprehensive offering, backed by competition-grade technology.
Two rackets developed with Tecnifibre: the technical muscle behind the crocodile
Lacoste hasn’t entered the world of padel alone. To build the rackets, it has chosen Tecnifibre as its technical partner — a brand with decades of experience manufacturing high-performance equipment for the world’s best players. From this partnership come the two models at the heart of this collection.

The new Lacoste L.MAX padel racket
The choice for the regular player who wants more. The L.MAX features X-Speed technology, with perforations specially designed to improve the racket’s aerodynamics and increase shot speed without sacrificing ball control.
Added to this are X-Top, which enhances impact resistance, and Spin Skin 3D, whose textured surface generates more spin on every shot. A racket designed for those who already know what they want and are looking for a tool that sets no limits.

It is priced at 350 euros.
The new L.SOFT padel racket from Lacoste
Lighter and designed for players who are progressing or new to the sport, the L.SOFT combines X-Top and Spin Skin 3D to offer excellent responsiveness without requiring the player to have an advanced technical level.
The large sweet spot and agile handling make this racket a very solid choice for anyone wanting to take the plunge into padel with something more than just a generic beginners’ racket. It is priced at 250 euros.

A complete collection: from the court to the changing room
Around these two rackets, Lacoste has built a complete silhouette which is, at its core, what this brand does best: turning sport into a coherent style of dress from start to finish.
The L-Padel bag and the AGLT Ultra trainers, both priced at 150 euros, complete the technical kit, designed according to the same criteria of freedom of movement and comfort that define the rest of the collection. The technical clothing — T-shirts, shorts and socks — rounds off the range with the unmistakable crocodile logo.

The entire collection will be available at lacoste.com and in Lacoste’s network of shops across Europe from 24 September.

Why this launch matters
Padel is the most social sport of its generation. It’s played in teams of four, it’s shared, and it builds a sense of community. That fits perfectly with the DNA of a brand that, for almost a century, has understood sport as a place for people to come together as much as for competition. Lacoste doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel in padel: it simply needs to apply what it already does well. And with Tecnifibre manufacturing the rackets, the technical side is more than covered.
