The Asuncion Premier Padel P2 2025 closed its second edition with two finals full of excitement and quality. On one side, Galán and Chingotto signed their third title of the year after defeating Cardona and Augsburger. In the women’s draw, Bea González and Claudia Fernández made history by winning their first title together, becoming the youngest couple to lift a trophy on the circuit.

This is how the Asuncion P2 finals went

Galán and Chingotto crowned in Asuncion and tie with Coello-Tapia in titles

The men’s final of the Asuncion P2 2025 pitted the most consistent couple of recent weeks, Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto, against an emerging duo that has revolutionised the circuit since their arrival: Pablo Cardona and Leo Augsburger. The young couple had eliminated Stupaczuk-Lebrón and Diestro-Esbri in previous rounds, but in their first Premier Padel final they failed to pull off the upset.

In a heart-stopping first set, Galán and Chingotto showed their competitive maturity, especially in the decisive moments. They wasted six set points, and although Cardona and Augsburger neutralised two breaks, the tiebreak went to the number two seeds 7-6. It was a psychological blow from which the young players were unable to recover.

The second set was a display of dominance by Galán and Chingotto. They got an early break that they consolidated with authority, extending their lead to close out the set with a resounding 6-1, which gave them the trophy without having to go to a third set. In total, they generated 16 break points, a statistic that reflects the constant pressure they put on their opponents.

With this victory, Galán and Chingotto lift their third title of the year, equalling Coello and Tapia in terms of crowns, and remain on the podium in the last five tournaments. Only in Riyadh, the first of the year, did they miss out on the final. Since then, they have not failed in any decisive match. This consistency, combined with their increasingly solid and complementary play, consolidates them as the real alternative to the dominance of the number ones.

Bea González and Claudia Fernández make history with their first Premier Padel title

In the women’s draw, the final between Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay against Bea González and Claudia Fernández promised thrills and spills. And it did not disappoint. It was the third meeting between the two couples so far this season, with the previous balance in favour of the number two seeds (2-1). But this time, Bea and Claudia wanted to change history.

The first set began with Brea and Triay dominating, taking a 4-1 lead and serving. However, Bea and Claudia reacted with determination and staged a memorable comeback. They managed to level the score and take the set to a tiebreak, where they also came back from 5-2 down to win 7-6 with five consecutive points.

Despite the blow, Brea and Triay responded with class. In the second set, they were clearly superior. They came out with a 3-0 lead and, although Bea and Claudia tried to resist, the number two pair were more solid to close out the set 6-3 and level the match.

But in the third and final set, González and Fernández played their best tennis. With a very aggressive approach, they achieved two consecutive breaks and took a 5-0 lead, leaving the title within their grasp. Nerves at the end of the match caused them to concede a break, but they left no room for further surprises: with a counterbreak, they closed out the match 6-2.

This victory marks a turning point for Bea González and Claudia Fernández. Not only is it their first title together in Premier Padel, but they also become the youngest couple to achieve this, with an average age of 21. In just six months as a duo, they have shown that they can compete at the highest level and that they have the talent to take on the best on the circuit.

The American tour now continues with the Buenos Aires P1, whose final draw took place on Sunday. The Argentinean public awaits their idols with open arms. Padel never stops, and the 2025 season, full of changes and excitement, promises to continue delivering unforgettable moments.
