The Premier Padel Asuncion P2 already knows its winners: Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia in the menās final and Bea Gonzalez and Delfi Brea in the womenās final lifted the trophy in the first event of the South American tour.
Coello and Tapia win over ChingalƔn
Arturo Coello and AgustĆn Tapia have been proclaimed winners of theĀ Asuncion P2 after beating Ale GalĆ”n and Fede Chingotto 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 in the final.
Both pairings met for the fourth consecutive time in a final, with GalƔn and Chingotto coming in with a winning record of two wins and one defeat. The first meeting ended in victory for Coello and Tapia in Puerto Cabello, but ChingalƔn won the next two matches, in Brussels and Seville.
The number 1ās started the final very strong, winning the first five games of the match. Coelloās power wreaked havoc on their opponents, who were only able to open their account in the sixth game. In the blink of an eye, the first set went up in smoke with a convincing 6-1 win for Coello and Tapia.
Galan and Chingotto reacted perfectly, standing up to their opponents in the second set. By the sixth game, the pairing broke their opponentsā serve, an advantage that would be more than enough to force the third set 6-3.
The best part of the match would be left for the third set, a set with alternatives for both pairings. If Coello and Tapia started with a break, Chingotto and Galan responded quickly to put the score at 2-2. The pairing from Madrid and Olavarri achieved another break in the seventh game and by the tenth game they were 5-4 and on serve, one step away from victory. AgustĆn Tapia prevented them from closing out in that game and did his bit to settle the final in the tiebreak, which the number 1 pairing ended up taking by 7-1.

Bea Gonzalez and Delfi Brea win their poker titles
What a form Bea and Delfi are showing. The Spaniard and the Argentine have won their fourth consecutive title after beating Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez 6-3, 7-5 last night at the Asuncion P2.
Gemma and Claudia missed out on another chance to win a title. With this Sundayās match, the pairing reached their third final. However, in the Asuncion final, their dream was cut short from the start as Bea and Delfi came out of the blocks with a 3-0 lead. Triay and Fernandez trailed and ended up losing the first set 6-3.
The second set was a completely different story. Both pairings had problems with their serves, which meant that the first four games ended in breaks. In fact, out of the twelve games played, seven would end in breaks. Even so, neither pairing managed to distance themselves on the scoreboard. Gemma and Claudia even took the lead at 5-4 and were two points away from sending the match into the third game, but Bea and Delfi won their serve and, more importantly, managed to break Fernandezās serve with clarity. In the next game, the Spaniard and the Argentine closed out the match with a definitive 7-5.
