Padel Acoustics: the company that wants to solve the noise problem in padel

Padel is a wonderful sport, and it’s becoming one of the most popular sports on the planet. The growth figures speak for themselves. However, the truth is that it also has a problem: noise. As clubs and courts are built, complaints about noise pollution are on the rise. There is a company whose goal is to put an end to this. Padel Acoustics seeks to improve the experience for both players and those around them.

It is a Sweden-based company specializing in soundproofing. Currently, they focus exclusively on installing their products in padel clubs and sports arenas. They have completed projects in Europe, South America, North America, and the Middle East. As a result, they have established themselves as the industry leader. All their work is guaranteed to comply with relevant regulations and meet each client’s specific needs.

For many, the sound of the ball hitting the paddle or the glass is pleasant. For others, however, it is extremely irritating. In fact, a city in England has banned padel for this very reason. Many residents complained about the courts in a residential complex, and now playing is no longer allowed anywhere. They compared it to “a shootout” or “torture.” In Madrid, near Nuevos Ministerios, a club has also faced several lawsuits due to the noise. There are many cases of owners desperate to find solutions. They want players to enjoy the game without disturbing the neighbors’ rest and peace. Padel Acoustics is here precisely to put an end to that problem.

How do they eliminate the noise?

This company offers several products in its catalog to reduce noise. These are custom solutions that they design and install themselves. The most popular and effective option is acoustic fire retardant curtains, installed on the club’s walls or in between courts. They are made of pleated fabric with a very soft, plush finish. This material absorbs echoes to reduce noise and enhance comfort for those present.

You get a top-quality, clean, almost walled-in experience that elevates the standard of the entire venue

Filip Jenvén, founder of Padel Acoustics, explains that the installation makes a world of difference: It creates a top-quality, clean, almost walled-in experience that elevates the standard of the entire venue.

Proven performance

All Padel Acoustics products are made with the best materials to minimize impact noise. In fact, the curtains undergo laboratory testing with exceptional results. More than 200 clubs have already seen this firsthand. Jenvén himself comments on the solution’s effectiveness: When pleated curtains are installed about 20 cm from the wall, they achieve a Class A sound absorption rating. That’s basically the highest level. In terms of performance, this can be compared to high-quality acoustic panels”.

Furthermore, they are designed to comply with all current regulations. In addition to dampening noise, they are safe in the event of an emergency. Some countries have different fire safety and building code requirements. For this reason, all are manufactured with certified fire-retardant materials. “Our curtains undergo laboratory testing for both fire resistance and sound absorption,” states the founder.

Effectiveness is a key pillar, but so is durability. This system is useless if it deteriorates over time. Padel Acoustics assures that the quality of its products guarantees long-term performance. “For us, it is essential that the result looks the same after 5 or 10 years. It must withstand even thousands of ball impacts. Our dynamic rail and hook system is a solution designed specifically for padel environments. It ensures that the curtains maintain their shape and performance. It’s a key difference compared to generic solutions” says Filip.

The other advantages of Padel Acoustics

Beyond the acoustic benefits, the installation offers other advantages. On the sporting side, distractions are reduced and communication with your partner improves. There’s no need to shout to warn that opponents are coming to the net. It also means greater comfort for club staff, spectators, and those in common areas.

Additionally, the visual aspect must be considered. The curtains, carpeting, and ceiling panels create a more exclusive atmosphere. With no glare and an elegant matte finish, the club undergoes a complete decorative transformation. Content creators highly appreciate this change. Jenvén confirms this: “Using gray or black tones creates a clean, Instagram-friendly atmosphere that enhances the overall experience”.

All of this leads to financial gains. The founder of Padel Acoustics explains it this way: “Improving acoustics can significantly increase customer loyalty. Many operators report notable increases in bookings, up to 20%. It also allows for rate increases of between 3% and 10%. Players choose the club where they feel most comfortable. If you want to stand out, acoustics and atmosphere are key factors”.

What the experience with Padel Acoustics is like

Although it may seem like a complicated process, the reality is quite simple. They have perfected the installation so that it doesn’t require major disruptions or costly solutions. They are very flexible. They can install it themselves or local contractors can do it following their instructions. “We provide detailed PDF guides and offer remote assistance via video call. The system is simple and efficient,” says Filip.

Jenvén explains how the typical process usually works: “Most clients contact us after seeing previous projects or finding us online. We request photos of the venue, a floor plan, and the project timeline. We prefer to complete the installation before the courts open. Based on this, we create a custom solution and manufacture the materials”.

The result is that the number of clients is growing steadily. The noise problem grows along with the sport itself. Padel Acoustics’ solutions are leading more and more clubs to rely on them.Six years ago, acoustics were rarely part of the conversation. Today, it’s one of the first things serious operators ask about” concludes the founder. And everything points to this trend continuing to rise.
