Andrea Ustero and Ariana Sánchez staged a memorable comeback to win the women’s title for the Atlantics. In a closely fought final, they defeated Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea 7-6, 3-6, 10-7 to lift their first title of the season.

Tapia and Alonso, comeback and championship
Agustín Tapia and Edu Alonso turned around a match that seemed lost against Álex Ruiz and Franco Dal Bianco. After a tough first set (1-6), they reacted with a 6-3 and closed out the title in the super tie-break with a 10-8 that brought the crowd to its feet.

Results for third and fourth place
In the battle for third and fourth place in the women’s category, Marta Ortega and Ale Alonso, from Las Vegas Smash, defeated Marina Lobo and Sofía Saiz, from Cancún Waves, 6-4, 6-4. In the men’s category, the New York Atlantics couple, Lucas Campagnolo and Jon Sanz, defeated Pablo Cardona and Leo Augsburger, from the Flowrida Goats, 4-6, 6-3 and 10-4.

The New York Atlantics close the first tournament in Miami as leaders of the Pro Padel League with 40 points: 25 for their women’s championship and 15 for third place in the men’s competition. These points are key for the PPL City’s Cup in October, where only the eight best franchises will be present.
