The third day of World Padel League Season 4 produced two very different stories at the SVP Stadium Dome. In the first match, the Aussie Mavericks Jaguars gave the Khan Tigers no respite whatsoever, securing the most convincing victory of the tournament so far. In the second, the Game Changers Lions confirmed that their debut the previous day was no fluke: they now have two wins from two matches.
Aussie Mavericks Jaguars crush the Khan Tigers
Whilst the Tigers had surprised everyone the previous day by coming from behind to beat the Leopards in the tie-break of the deciding set, today they faced a team that gave them no chance whatsoever. Claudia Jensen and Alejandra Alonso opened the match by beating Raquel Eugenio and Martina Fassio 6-2 in the first (women’s) set, demonstrating the gulf in class right from the start.
The second set, the men’s doubles, was a carbon copy of the first. Enzo Jensen and Ignacio Piotto repeated their 6-2 victory over Íñigo Jofre and Javi García, effectively sealing the tie before it even reached the third set.

There, Pol Hernández and Guille Collado did face slightly more resistance from Lucas Campagnolo and Aris Patiniotis, but they ended up closing out the set 7-5 and sealing a 19-9 victory, which is by far the most lopsided result the competition has seen so far. The Jaguars, who had narrowly lost their opening match against the Leopards after winning the first set, did exactly the opposite today: they dominated from start to finish.
Lions beat VB Realty Cheetahs to secure their second consecutive victory
Paula Josemaría and Bea González once again set the pace from the very first set – the women’s singles – defeating Aranzazu Osoro and Julieta Bidahoria 6-1 with a dominance that left little doubt as to the direction the match was heading.
In the second set, the men’s doubles, Sanyo Gutiérrez and Gonzalo Alfonso extended their lead against Jesús Moya and Jon Sanz, closing out the set 6–3 and leaving the Cheetahs on the ropes ahead of the final set.
The third set featured an unexpected star: Coki Nieto and Lucho Capra, who faced Fede Mouriño and Teo Zapata, securing the Cheetahs’ only set win of the entire afternoon, taking the set 7-5. It wasn’t enough to turn the match around, but it does make for an interesting note: this is the first time this season that Nieto has won a set yet his team still ended up losing, after he and Jon Sanz suffered a clear defeat in their Day 1 opener.
With this result, Game Changers Lions take the match 17–11 and secure their second consecutive victory, whilst the Cheetahs are still struggling to get back on track after two matchdays.
