The women’s season comes to an end at the Premier Padel Finals. The men’s final is still to be played, but Barcelona witnessed both a great women’s final won by Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez and the match for third and fourth place, which ultimately went to Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez. And so the last chapter of the year came to a close.
Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez finish in the best possible way
What Bea González and Claudia Fernandez have achieved in 2025 is difficult to explain in numbers, but the numbers speak for themselves. They had faced each other nine times throughout the year; with this one, it’s now ten. The final head-to-head ends with an 8-2 in favor of the third seed. They were the only ones capable of truly going toe-to-toe with the No. 1 pair.
Not only that, they won the last three tournaments of the year and were crowned Masters of 2025. It was the perfect ending to a spectacular season, which closed with another epic final: 6-4, 0-6, and 6-3. Above all, it was a lesson in emotional management.

Because it’s not just about winning a decisive set after conceding a devastating 0-6. It’s also about Bea González, competing at the highest level just days after the loss of her grandfather. A triumph that goes far beyond padel.
In addition, Claudia Fernandez made history by becoming the youngest player to win a Master Final, surpassing Bea herself. Everything points to the Madrid native partnering with Sofía Araújo in 2026.
Paula and Ari say goodbye with a third place finish
It’s not the dream farewell for a pair of this magnitude, but it’s the context that the Finals have dictated. Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez end their time together after five years that are now part of the history of women’s padel.
Five seasons that gave them everything: twice world No. 1, the pair with the most victories in the WPT–Premier Padel era, world doubles champions, 44 titles and, above all, a team that will be difficult to replicate.

The farewell came with a victory, beating Andrea Ustero and Sofía Araújo 7-6, 7-5 in the match for third and fourth place. A fitting end for an unrepeatable pair that has marked an era.
