Ari Sánchez and Paula JosemarÃa have won the Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1 after defeating Claudia Fernández and Bea González 6-2, 6-2 in the final at the Parque Roca on Sunday. With this victory, the Spanish couple wins their third title of the season and returns to the top of the FIP ranking, regaining the number one that they had lost the previous week to Gemma Triay.
Fernandez and Gonzalez arrived in a great moment, after signing two consecutive victories over Triay and Brea and reaching their second final in just a week. However, they came up against a very solid Ari and Paula who were out for revenge after losing to them in the semifinals of the previous tournament in Asuncion.
After an even start (2-2), Sanchez and Josemaria stringed together four consecutive games to win the first set 6-2. Their effectiveness was key: they took advantage of the two break points they had, while their opponents were unable to convert any of them. Bea and Claudia, very erratic, made up to fifteen unforced errors, a burden too heavy against the regularity of the number ones.

The second set followed a similar script. Sanchez and Josemaria broke serve in the fourth game and, with another break in the eighth, they closed out the match with another 6-2, completing a brilliant performance from start to finish. Not even JosemarÃa’s physical problems, who has been suffering from a fever since the quarter-finals, prevented the couple from putting on a new exhibition in the Argentine capital.
With this victory in Buenos Aires, Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria revalidate the title won in 2024 in Mar del Plata and confirm that they continue to be the reference of the women’s circuit. In addition, they once again lead the world ranking at the start of a season where the fight for the throne is tighter than ever.
