The third edition of the Hexagon Cup has come to an end after four intense days of padel and a final that lived up to the occasion. KRÜ Padel and Advantage Team battled it out for the title at Caja Mágica in an atmosphere that was hard to match.

Advantage Team wins the third edition of the Hexagon Cup

Padel is often a fair game. And if there is one team that has maintained consistency throughout the week, it is Advantage Team. The team formed by Juan Tello, Martín Di Nenno, Delfi Brea, Martina Calvo, José Jiménez, and Manu Castaño has been the most solid from start to finish.

The final began with Delfi Brea and Martina Calvo scoring the first point for their team.

This couple leaves the Hexagon Cup with an unbeatable impression, and it would not be surprising to see them together again in the future. Undefeated throughout the competition, today they once again defeated Sofía Araújo and Claudia Jensen 7-5, 6-3. With that point already in the bag, the title came down to the men’s rematch.

Di Nenno and Tello had a clear mission and this time they did not fail. The image was very different from the previous day: a much more solid couple, without ups and downs and very confident from the back of the court, minimizing unforced errors.

The final score of 7-6, 6-2 closed out the tie and proclaimed Advantage Team the champion of the third edition of the Hexagon Cup, lifting the title at the Caja Mágica with total deserving.

Tapia beats Coello and RL9 takes third place

The match for third and fourth place had an unusual incentive for this type of encounter: a face-off between the two world number ones. Team Bella faced RL9 Padel, with all eyes on the duel between Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello.

The first point went to RL9 thanks to Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero, who defeated Bea González and Bea Caldera 6-2, 6-4. The Hexagon Cup has served to give us a glimpse that the Catalan couple could be contenders for everything from now on. Very serious sensations.

With that score, Edu Alonso and Arturo Coello had to win to keep their podium hopes alive. But they were up against a couple with a very clear game plan: Tapia and Jon Sanz. The key was the backhand crosscourt, where the Catamarca native ended up imposing his logic.

The final score of 6-4, 6-2 sealed the victory for RL9, who climbed to the third step of the podium and closed out the Caja Mágica with a position of great competitive and symbolic value in this Hexagon Cup.
